Clive Barker's The Thief of Always

This piece is a tribute/reimagining of the book cover of iconic horror author Clive Barker's novel "The Thief of Always". Barker actually also did all of the book's illustrations and the cover art himself. The book is a fable that tells the story of a boy who finds a magic house called the "Holiday House" that seems to be a paradise for kids like him. Little does he know that the happiness has its price.
I really like the Hansel & Gretel vibe of the story and especially the novel's overall feel and artstyle which inspired me to make this tribute piece.
